NO! DONT DO THIS! DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING THIS!
Rather do a "chgrp yourgroup /dev/rtc" in the same place where
you put the "echo 1024 > ...". "yourgroup" is the group your
user is in ("users" on SUSE for example). Making mplayer suid
root is about the stupidest thing to do, do it only if you want
your system to be root compromised ASAP.
BTW: the /dev/rtc message is typically not a problem, ist is more
like a diagnostic message.
