[MPlayer-users] Humax Digital 8000T Digital terestrial STB with 40GB HD

Hello,

I wonder if anyone on this list knows anything about the Humax Digital
8000T Digital Terestrial recorder's internal workings and video
fileformats on the HD etc?

I have been told by their tech support it is running "Linux".  The
provide some firmware updates in an HDF file format (seems to be an
obfuscated compressed file).  Humax provide a win32 app, "WDN40AK+" to
communicate with the STB and retreve some video files I gather.

Has anyone got any of the video off this STB and successfully played the
files with MPlayer at all?
