[MPlayer-users] Problems with 1.0pre5 playing streaming mp3

Hey ho.

I upgraded from 1.0pre3 to 1.0pre5 in order to get newer ALSA interface
(at least, I *think* I got newer interface: -ao alsa instead of
-ao alsa9). However, I have a problem now playing streaming mp3s.

I used to use

mplayer -cache 512 http://encode3.wduq.org:8100/playlist.pls

to listen to my favorite radio station. Now, when I do that, mplayer
gets to the following point and just stops:

Playing http://192.204.250.38:8100/.
Resolving 192.204.250.38 for AF_INET6...

Cache size set to 512 KBytes

With 1.0pre3, I would see instead:

Playing http://192.204.250.38:8100/.
Resolving 192.204.250.38 for AF_INET6...
Couldn't resolve name for AF_INET6: 192.204.250.38

Name : WDUQ FM Live Air Signal
Genre : Other/Mixed
Website: http://www.wduq.org
Public : no
Bitrate: 24kbit/s
Cache size set to 512 KBytes

Cache fill: 14.06% (73728 bytes)

I don't see any relevant differences in audio codecs available. When
I use -ao help with each version, the codecs reported are the same.

What's changed? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks much.
