[MPlayer-users] Playing subtitles with LoTR: The Two Towers DVD.

Hey I've made another discovery:

With '-v' if you skip straight to a place with elvish language you see this in 
the output:

See that?  There's suddenly a subtitle 4 and 5 that *aren't* listed when 
mplayer first runs.  4 and 5 only appear for elvish dialogue.

Not only that, but with xine if I force it to use subtitle 4 and 5 I see 
exactly what I want, which is the English subtitles for the elven dialogue, 
and *not* the english subtitles for the English dialogue.

So now the question is:  Why doesn't -sid 4 or -sid 5 work in mplayer?  Why 
are they not found when the dvd is first checked when it runs?  And how can 
we fix it?
