[MPlayer-users] How to record the X output

Hi

Here is what I aim to do and I think Mencoder can do it (maybe am I wrong).

A friend of mine wants to make a presentation of a software. His goal is 
to record what happens on the screen (He uses X in a "natural" way, 
which means with NVidia drivers and no framebuffer).

Is there a way to use mencoder ?

I have never seen such an application of mencoder, nor did I see it in 
the docs but could have missed it.
