You say "black picture area" here and in your first mail, and I noticed
your command lines don't involve any cropping. You really should crop
out the _entire_ black bands, as well as any fuzziness, and then scale
appropriately to maintain aspect ratio and make both dimensions a
multiple of 16. You'll get much better quality that way.

-vf crop=width:height:xposition:yposition,scale=width:height

Better yet, just read DOCS/tech/encoding-tips.txt

I can't answer the rest of your problems, though.
