[MPlayer-users] feature request?

hi,
The doze player I used before switching to linux was bsplayer. bsplayer 
has a number of very cool features... like if you want to start viewing 
a subtitle during a movie then you can load it on the spot, without 
having to restart (and seek to where you were up to...) the movie. Is 
this possible with mplayer? If not is there some way of putting it in, 
maybe by recording the current position and then restarting the movie 
with subtitles at that time?
