Hey there,
I am experiencing some bizarre problems -
Sometimes when I seek inside a movie (mostly divx movies) mplayer hangs for
no reason, top shows that the CPUs are idle, after a few seconds (10 or so)
- mplayer continues to play... this is very annoying though.
Second problem is a serious sync problem I am having every now and then, no
matter what I do (framedrop, hardframedrop, prebuf, noprebuf, sync, etc...)
I continue to have this problem every now and then...
Any advise?
Oh - yeah, system -
HP netserver E60
Dual PenIII 650Mhz (Switched to the original single HP 500Mhz CPU to see if
it helps... still happens - sync problem is even more serious).
512MB ECC sdram
SCSI hardware
Sigma designs Hollywood plus used for TV/spdif out.
Running slackware-current.
Memtest finished with no problem, CPU is working hard on many compilations
(not when I play movies...) and haven't noticed any problem... I enabled
MCE to search for errors, couldn't find any...
Any advise?
