[MPlayer-users] Alsa 9, SB Live! AC3 Passthrough, filter probs.

I have the latest MPlayer 0.90 just released and the latest Alsa drivers
for my Sound Blaster Live! card.
If I do *not* use the "-af-adv force=3" option to mplayer, I keep getting
this annoying "Couldn't find matching filter / ao format!" window every
time I load a DVD (and for any DVD), or when I change chapters. The only
way to keep this window from appearing is to use the "af-adv" option (as
stated above).
By the way, the DVD's play fine (and with AC3 audio passed through to my
receiver) when I use the "force" option. Just curious what's going on
here...
Also, when using `gdb' to debug mplayer, it only ever shows 1 thread
running, and when I step through the code, it occassionally hops back a
few lines then proceeds to the one it should have stepped through to begin
with. What's going on there?
thanks.
