[MPlayer-users] Error X11

I'm having a little problem while compiling MPlayer with the 
--enable-gui option. The configuration was interrupted reporting the
Error: X11 support required for GUI compilation error. Did I forgot to 
install a package while installing the system or this is related with 
the video cards drivers. Actually I'm using the NVIDIA TNT2 drivers. 
What should i do to overcome this problem.
