-vop pp=0x20000 should still work fine. It's much nicer to use names
for the postprocessing options rather than hex numbers tho, and in
fact someone might have broken the numeric selection. Run mplayer
-pphelp for a list of postprocessing options, including deinterlace.
Then try something like mplayer -vop pp=lb.
