[MPlayer-users] subtitles and font encoding in (g)mplayer? is it a bug?

hi!
i have this problem: when I use gmplayer it shows subtitles encoded in
windows-1250 wrong - instead of polish letters it shows _ but when i play the
same movie with the same subtitles using mplayer it shows the letters right.
info about my system:

also i observed that in gmplayer font is bigger than in mplayer and osd shows
up only when starting gmplayer but not mplayer.
is it a bug? or anyone can advise me anything to make gmplayer show fonts
well? thanks in advance

ps. i'm really sorry that output is in polish, if it'll be necessary i can
recompile mplayer in english ('cause i don't know how to start it in english
now)
