not without xv... there wsa a thread about this in the past...

i have a geforce4 with nvidia-binary drivers and i can open many
mplayers with vo-xv....

so how to use it?

it's as simpl as:

-get a video with ac3 audio
-mplayer file-witth-ac3-audio-avi -channels 4

?
