yes, but the height of the lines isn't constant, at least teh currect osd
code uses the highest char size + a constant value as line height.
so depending on font and sub text, it may jump a little.

the other problem i got reported (in private) is that some subtitls has
matching or very sligthly overlapping times, but it's enough to trigger your
overlapping code, so it will move teh subtitle up (to make space for the
next one) so the subs are at too high position over the whole film.

maybe the overlapping code should allow a little overlapping without
splitting the sub, ie <0.2s overlap should be left as-is, and split only for
longer overlaps.
