Of course it wasn't for real. I haven't read anything he has written
before, but that letter was so obviosly ironic. Lets take this as an
example:

"I thought I'm very good writting articles about things I don't know."

By the way, where does this guy Joe Barr come from? The name sound
american, but the above quoted text is not written by an native english
speaker.
