Hello,

I'm using mplayer to play "local" movie's files without any problem.
I'm behind firewall. And I can't play any streaming videos.
I've also configure my mplayer with --enable-streaming
when I run eg.

mplayer -vo sdl http://live.atlas.cz/bonton/fromhell2856.asx
mplayer -vo x11 http://www.worldonline.cz/musi/movs/muhammad_l.asx

I've receive something like this:

MPlayer CVS-020110-06:00-2.95.3 (C) 2000-2002 Arpad Gereoffy (see DOCS!)

Yes, I should somehow tell the mplayer about the proxy.
So, I have set those system environment variables:
http_proxy=webcache.xxx.xxx.com:8080 (which is our proxy server, rather
say webcache only)
and it doesn't work
Also I tried use *runsocks* (which I sucessfuly using with other
programs)...

I was looking in tho DOC, FAQ and didn't found any hint about
proxies/firewalls

Thanks you in advance
Dan
