[MPlayer-users] sluggish dvd playback...(faq suggestions don't help)

hey guys, i figured it out.  dma is disabled by default on redhat 8.0.  to 
turn it on, you gotta add 'options ide-cd dma=1' to /etc/modules and restart.  
after that, hdparm runs fine.

dvd playback is great now.
