[Mplayer-users] GUI in mplayer!?

Hi,

Ok. You wanted... :)

compile:

./configure --enable-new-gui
cd Gui;make distclean;make;cd ..
make

(i know it's ugly, should be fixed...)

Note: you must have libpng and libgtk stuff installed.

Please report compilation problems carefully, be sure it isn't your fault.

run:

mplayer -gui [options] [filenames]

or make a link:
ln -s mplayer gmplayer
./gmplayer [options] [filenames]

But be warned!
It's still under development. Basic functions work:
- file selector
- play, stop, pause
- seeking (even in pause mdoe)
- volume change
- skin selector
- fullscreen switch (more or less, still have probs with a few wm)
- about box :)

Not done/working, do NOT report these:
- playlist
- preferences menu (somebody should make it, contact with Pontscho)
- vpotmeter (dunno what's that :))
- multi-language support

About the skins:
they are downloadable from www.mplayerhq.hu site.
the best one are aviplay and wmp skins :)

If you want to make skins:
Please be patient, skin-making-howto is under development, expect it
in a few days. don't ask us, we know you want it.
I do not recommended making skins without this dox, it isn't trivial.
(you may get segfaults and parser errors)
