[Mplayer-users] GUI

I tried to search the archives to find the answer to this, but they
weren't working, so here you go.

How do I get the GUI to work with Mplayer?  I have gone into the Gui
directory and compiled that library, then recompiled mplayer with
--enable-new-gui and it compiled just fine.  I installed the default GUI
from the website in ~/.mplayer/Skin/default and then ran it with the
-skin flag, but the video just plays then exits.

What am I missing?
