Not really. It was a bug of old 0.18 series.
(Note: you should use 0.50pre)

vo_xv failed because cvid requires RGB mode.
but the error message was bad - it isn't problem of X,
it's incompatibility of Xv and cvid. Current version
reports incompatibility.
