Markus Gipner saw fit to inform me that:
>please help me step for step, i'm new in the linux land.
>i have installed mplayer and it works fine, but i can't open the gui
>because i havnt installed it.
>what must i do to become gui?
>must install mplayer new?

start mplayer as

mplayer --gui

alternatively create a link called gmplayer pointing to the mplayer binary.

ln -sf /usr/local/bin/mplayer /usr/local/bin/gmplayer

and than run gmplayer.

Enjoy the cool GUI.

LOST #013 -**< Sub : Locking a directory >**-
To "lock" a directory under your $HOME directory for privacy
of data, do:
$chmod 000 dir/ .... ["root" still has access though]
Changing permission to 000 even denies an ls to that dir by
all users. You need to do chmod 755 or 777 (for access).
