swap videocard...
(card without good drivers is even worse than nothing - you spend money
for some unusable shit while nothing is free :))

maybe if you are a coder, try to get sis_vid working (from drivers/ dir).
it supports (in theory) sis 6326 similar to mga_vid, but i never tried.
(and mga_vid interface changed a lot while sis driver wasn't updated)
