OK, I guess at least one project member is interested in my comments, so
I'll enjoin to indulge him.

If your referring to what I snipped:
- For openers, you're sneers at my reference to cultural differences,
which I don't advocate to begin with (those that took offense seemed
to have missed the "may be" and "If" in my sentence), but apologized
for anyway - twice.
- Four "Be exacts" from you where I would have thought my comments were
either obvious in statement or context, or if you really had an interest,
you would undertake to find out on your own. Seems like you advocate the
latter often enough.
- Irrelevant reply by you, to wit:

Learn how to read.
--($:~/mplayer/src)-- ./configure --help | grep gui
--enable-gui enable GUI [disable]
See below to finish this thought.

Ho! And your comment didn't reek of arrogance, eh? Or perhaps you're a bit
confused about the English definition of "arrogance"? Mine wasn't arrogance,
mine was a statement of non-caring. You choose to focus on the one line,
not my whole comment. What say you to my whole comment?
I haven't submitted my patches because 1) I don't think I'm done yet,
2) I have many things going on, and haven't been able to get back to them,
and 3) They're pretty low in priority anyway, no?
I have no interest in your social problems beyond how it effects MPlayer's
and/or its developer's public perception. And that is fading fast, too,
as you don't seem to care a whit. Why therefore should I?

Yes, "Deny, huh". From you, posted Wed, 19 Dec 2001 14:05:36 +0100, in
reply to Roger Fujii:

Isn't your reply a denial of the GUI's existence?

And I'm surprised [that you haven't removed me].
Is it that you simply like to argue, or are your really listening, and
maybe even willing to acknowledge the general point from my original reply
to A'rpi's post, and do something about it?

You tell me (and the list): What is it that one of us is missing, wherein
you feel totally justified in belittling the users, rather than replying
with a simple, curt (if not polite) answer, if bothering to reply at all?
It would save you the additional keystrokes, if nothing else, and would
likely do more to repair the collective reputation(s) than anything else.
