[MPlayer-users] divx4 problem, and skins problem...

Hi All!

I just wanted to say that i really appreciate all your help. And i am glad to anounce that it's al working now.

First of all the divx, the package i downloaded is indeed broken, no things like buggy kernel stuff. I downloaded the same package under windows and the same problem occured, ON INSTALL.SH

Someone told me in this thread this one is very old (which it is indeed), and i should download a newer one from avifile.sf.net. I went to the site, but there was no answer for me there (at least i could not find any divx tar-ball). I then went to www.divx.com, and there was a linux tarball version 4.1 .

I downloaded it, and after unpacking, i saw that there was a install.sh (still running kernel 2.5.0-pre1). 

Ok.. so after compiling with the right options. mplayer worked. Even with GUI. The error that there was no skin support was because there was no GUI support compiled, so this one is my own fault... Sorry for that.

I now run with the plastic skin, and see beautifull divx movies.
Thanx Dudes. I really appreciate all your hints.

PS: I looked in the archives, but i really couldn't find a thing about fs corruption. And my machine is now running for 8 days, and no problems at all.

PS2: someone mentioned i didn't wrapped my lines in the client. Sorry for that, i use mutt and i shall try to fix it. I haven't give it any thought yet..
