[MPlayer-users] SDL problem???

Hi,

I'm using the CVS code for mplayer (I've also tried 0.50 and the same
result), everything plays back fine with DVD's and everything, although
when using SDL for audio (-ao sdl:esd (or no esd)) I get a ringing sound
(along with the audio)... Is anyone else experiencing this? I've [pulled
down the CVS version of SDL (alot of fixes and changes) compiled
everything just fine, but still the same result.
If I don't use SDL for the audio, it comes through fine - I just
don't have any other sounds :( . I've tested SDL's loopwave test program
with a wave file and it doesn't have the ringing. ESD it self doesn't
have the ringing from Enlightenment or gnome - I can't think of anything
else this could be besides mplayer....

I have a DELL Inspiron 3800, the Ensoniq Maestro 3 sound card, PIII
750, 512mg ram... There are no errors or anything from the output of
mplayer when loading up or playing, just the ringing - and only if I use
the SDL... ??????
