[Mplayer-users] Clicking/pausing/generally bad sound

Hey again,

I had a go at mtrr, and discovered that already included in /proc/mtrr was

reg00: base=0x00000000 ( 0MB), size= 64MB: write-back, count=1
reg01: base=0x04000000 ( 64MB), size= 32MB: write-back, count=1
reg02: base=0x06000000 ( 96MB), size= 16MB: write-back, count=1
reg03: base=0x07000000 ( 112MB), size= 8MB: write-back, count=1

...this lot...

but anyway I added a line to see what it'd do... but I'm not at all sure I
got it right, as it appeared to make no difference whatsoever (and also
appeared with completely strange memory values once it was in /proc/, of
the order of gigabytes). I suspect the situation may be complicated by
the fact that this system uses shared video memory?

Is there any way I can sort of increase the priority of the mp3 decoding
compared to the video decoding?

To answer the percentage question, here is the output for a short segment
of avi; I'm not sure what the second percentage is supposed to be but it
looks fairly immense to me ;-)
Incidentally, I've changed the buffer size in this example to 800000 or
whatever it happens to be, purely for experimental purposes. As standard,
it comes out to 25088 bytes on this avi...
