This is mainly because large parts of the source files haven't yet been
properly revised.

Currently the GUI code is a mixure of different coding styles, checked code
that (hopefully) is where it should be and where you would also expect it to
be, and often redundant code at different and not always appropriate places.
There are two main problems with improving this: A constant lack of time and
the attempt to not break things while sometimes rebuilding it to a certain
extend.
