  Maintaining ad_mpg123 or in other words MPlayer support for libmpg123.
I don't really think we should include libmpg123 sources in MPlayer.

  Well that could be part of the job if you like to advance ad_mpg123
in that area.

  That is in your hands. So if you keep libmpg123 compatible and therefore
lower the work you have to do in MPlayer that is just fine.
