Note: reason is probably because it is not an obvious misspelling
but might have been a case of e.g. the code actually being wrong.
Thus it is a good idea to apply that kind of thing separately so
it has a chance of being discussed properly first.
And I do think that the code was probably wrong, however it's not
worth breaking compatibility to "fix" it.
