This code especially done to avoid any changes to libass: the first patch
sent by Jonatan Nilsson months ago (and raised in a new version by Kazuo
Teramoto) was doing integration you're talking about.
But I personally don't think libass has to handle other
weird/exotic/stupids subtitles format, and also, I did that because there
were no reply to the other patch.
In my opinion mplayer is here to homogegenize all this stuff, but if I'm
wrong, just apply the Jonatan/Kazuo patch.
