Exactly what would they be "misled" about? And what "opposite story"
could you tell by quoting and linking to flames _from long before the
git repo existed_? I don't see what you could hope to achieve with that
other than general slander.

"The arguments" for what? Certainly not for the git or svn repos...
And IIRC Reimar didn't take active part in those threads. He's the only
person capable of doing overall maintenance of MPlayer who still prefers
the svn repo. So not only would your referenced threads lack direct
relevance to the current git/svn repos, but other differences of opinion
expressed there would involve people who have little relevance to the
current situation.
