I have finally written a minimalistic VDPAU-based backend for VA API.
Nothing really advanced yet but enough to play MPEG-2 and H.264 videos
through VA API and an nVidia card. So, you can now play with it too. ;-)
Only the VDPAU backend is GPL'ed and available at this time:

You will also need our libVA instead of upstream's:
<http://www.splitted-desktop.com/~gbeauchesne/libva/>
The extensions will be integrated upstream later when support for the
"other" APIs is fully completed.
