Why svgalib, when we've got two perfectly good alternatives that don't 
need to pass via X for every pixel: dri and vidix
:)

The difference is quite noticeable if you've got something clunky and 
big, like firefox trying to load/refresh a page (I don't know how they 
can make it use so much cpu/x/contextswitches for just spinning the 
little image in the corner), when you're watching a movie :)

But this is getting offtopic indeed :)
