Might be better than using dbus directly, but it
has the same inherent problem as dbus has: it uses
its own IPC system instead of using X11. This makes
it impossible to use clients running on other hosts
reliably. Not that this is much concern for MPlayer
as a video application needs a fast path to the graphics
card and thus has to run localy, but it is a big concern
for desktop enviroments, but somehow all those developers
think that clients always run localy.

Maybe i should get involved in freedesktop myself.
