And the reason that we will *NOT* drop support for gcc 2.95 is that we
have traditionally insisted on supporting it and there is only a small
minority that sees a reason to stop doing that.
Now drop this silly subject and stop wasting everybody's time, including
your own. Several seasoned developers have spoken up in favor of
keeping gcc 2.95 support, none have voted against it. I recall at least
Michael, Reimar, Rich, Roberto and myself in favor of gcc 2.95 and only
you against. Probably there were others, but clearly the side in favor
of gcc 2.95 has about 1000x more commits than the one against.
Please stop flaming now, this is getting nowhere. I'm sure Rich will
enjoy going back and forth with you on IRC, but this mailing list is not
the place to continue this discussion.
