The gdb traceback wasn't really informative. Could it be a
problem/know regression in upcoming GCC 4.2/4.3?
I must admit I don't know how we can check that if gdb can't tell us
what's the offending line.
Could you try to compile with different levels of optimizations?
I wouldn't be surprised if less optimization would make the problem go
away.
