Ok, I tested with different compilers, with zapping out win32 codecs,
nuking my .mplayer config file, with no chance to track the problem.
I guess I should try to update my SID as maybe my toolchain or dev
libs got screwed up during last (2 weeks old) update.

I also tested how were things going on my AMD-64, and I can't
reproduce the bug there...

I keep you posted.

BTW Rich, what kind of informations should I have a look at (or
provide in case of a bug report) ? I'm kind of lacking ideas in my
bug-tracking chase...
