Aha.  OK.  Fine, so it's a local issue to me.  Fine then.

I still maintain that it would be preferable to leave the lib in 
mplayer, but as I say I have no strong preferences so I will revert to 
you (which of course you have stated means that it will stay where it is!)

If no one jumps in with comments on this patch can you commit it as is 
and I am happy to take over as maintainer (if the original maintainer is 
not interested anymore?).  I am at least happy to take any flak from the 
few existing users should there be any problems!
