Dont worry, we've moved to #mplayersux now, with all the private stuff.
Afaik gabu redirected #mplayerdev logs from mplayer-flame@ to -devel@,
and so -flame can became private again.
Anyway it's bad to blame only Gabu for banning unknown people from dev,
I also kick/ban users from there when they came with 'hi, i need help'
and such hello. It's quite annoying that when you're discussing not
public stuff (be it mplayer related (like the Kiss issue) or not (private))
then some unknown nick joins and either says nothing or behaves as an user.
The channel was never targeted for real development, mailing lists is much
better for that, as it's read by all active developers, unlike the irc.
Irc was an alternate discussion forum, to talk about meetings, release time
planning (time negotation), news, not-yet-public infos, reverse engineering
and so on, and it clearly doesnt belongs to unknown people.
