I don't think any mplexer can solve this problem.

I doubt that there are any easy way to work around this in a script
since I've been unable to find any tools which will correct it even
when used manually.
I have a 10 meg sample (dd if=badavi.avi of=sample.avi bs=1024
count=10240) of an avi that has bad a-v if it gets split up into
multiple files by dumpvideo+audio.
This is unfortunately one with 23.976 fps. Using mencoder with ofps
23.976 and 24000/1001 doesn't improve sync vs -ofps 25 (my svcd player
handles those fps and 29.97 too).
Running vcdimager directly on the mpeg from mencoder, and my SVCD player
does play it back, but struggles to keep A-V sync. A bit like playing
the mpeg with mplayer -mc 10, except the player doesn't manage to get
it to more than about 250 ms sync. This isn't that bad actually... Will
have to test if it can maintain sync over a longer time period. (ISTR
trying that before, and even mplayer barfed on the mpeg then, saying it
was badly interleaved and to try with -ni if it's .avi, heh).
Do you have a place I could upload the short sample?
