[MPlayer-dev-eng] complex subtiltles

Heyo,

My recent experiments with mkv led me to one problem:
mplayer does not support complex subtitles, ie subtitles
that do not only say when to display which text, but
also colour, font, effects, etc

An example of such a subfont format is ASS:

or http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~adogan/ass-specs.ps.gz 
for those who dont like word :)

Would it be possible to fully support such subtitle formats ?
Would anyone write it ?
