[MPlayer-dev-eng] -slave option?

Does the -slave option still work?

When I run player and have the -wid option I get the following errors

X11 error : BadAccess during XSelectInput Call
X11 error : The 'ButtonPressMask' mask of specified window has probably 
already used by another appication(see man XSelectInput)
X11 error : Mplayer discards mouse control and retry XSelectInput...

I thought that using the -slave option would skip the XSelectInput Call?
