[MPlayer-dev-eng] [BUG] DVB/MPEG-TS problems now reproducable

Hi,

I just uploaded files to ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming
that allow an (almost) time-exact replay of the DVB stream
which I'm receiving here in Berlin.

Download ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming/frozenstream.tgz,
extract and compile.

Download dvbt-berlin.mpg and dvbt-berlin.ti.

Reproduce the stream:

./frozenstream play dvbt-berlin.mpg dvbt-berlin.ti \
   | mplayer -

This shows exactly the same A/V sync misbehaviour which I
see when playing directly from DVB. If you replay with
-cache 4096 or -nosound, everything should work right.

The stream recording works by storing information about how
many bytes were available at which point in time to a file
(eg dvbt-berlin.ti) while recording from
/dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0. Those information are used on
playback (`frozenstream play') to make sure that at any of
those time-points exactly the same amount of data was send
to stdout.

Maybe somebody with more knowledge of MPlayer's demuxer can
now have a look at it?

David
