Hi!

I don't know if this is again a subject that has been talked to death,
but this would be really good imho too! 
Like make the gui a plugin, to separate it from mplayer.c .
Even better make a libmplayer, much like libxine, so
the mplayer engine could be used by independent programs
easily (including the gui) --   this -slave thing is not the most convenient 
for other programs, although for the one and only official gui the current 
situation is fine.

Tell me if its a stupid/old idea - I would be glad to work on this 
actually, if you told me so.
