I'd love to have a demux_dsp, im not confident enough of the demux interface
to try and code one up though.  Alex? :)

I have a question about this.  The pts system uses floats, is there enough
resolution in a float to take a full timestamp?  I've just done a more
simplified "frame counts from capture start" which seems to work quite well.
