I know, but in my opinion very few people who are serious about multimedia
run potato. But we don't loose much, so lets support potato too then.
On the other hand, I don't think all that many potato users get the latest
and greatest of mplayer from cvs and by the time mplayer 0.18 is released

I have seen those too, although they are relatively speeking rather few.
Most of the people who run Potato are those who want absolute stability,
commonly for servers. Those who run it on a desktop end up with a very
out-of-date system. That's after all why Testing was invented.
