I think I have underestimated the effort for building a mplayer.exe
correspondig to the official win32-beta.

What is the difference between building with cygwin and mingw? If I have
cygwin installed, but no mingw, can i still compile mplayer with directx
an so on?

I don't think it's the config file.
I put the self-made exe in the same directory as the original one.
