The patch is a complete hack.  If MPlayer becomes a widely-used player
on many platforms (windows) by many people (idiots) then it won't be G1.
That sort of success will only be achieved by a platform- and
UI-independant library where these sorts of features can be written
without hacks and targetted at the users who need them.
