Probably it only worked with libmpdvdkit1. I think it was replaced by
libmpdvdkit2 about 5 months ago

Windows dlls currently don't work with cygwin mplayer. I'm working on this.
Quicktime should work if you have quicktime player installed and
compiled mplayer with --enable-qtx-codecs
