[MPlayer-cygwin] Compiling the GUI

Is anyone having luck compiling the gui on cygwin? Is anyone still using cygwin? Here is the output I get when trying to --enable-gui from configure.
I went into the Gui folder to have a look, but so far haven't been able to figure it out.
My skills are still lacking in this department...
No changes made to Gui/config.mak or Gui/Makefile.

~/MPlayer/main/Gui$ make
gcc -MM -O4 -march=i686 -mcpu=i686 -pipe -ffast-math -fomit-frame-pointer -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D__CYGWIN__ -fomit-fra

[same for building all gui .o files]

And then of course it scrolls by too many undefined ref's when doing the final linking. Any ideas?
